Educating the Future
Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting students from Dean Close St John’s School at our farm, facilitated by our esteemed educational partner, Beaumont Primary School. Notably, Beaumont Primary holds the distinction of being one of the oldest schools in South Africa, adding a layer of historical significance to our collaborative educational endeavors.
Upon their arrival at Luna, our state-of-the-art controlled environmental farm, the students were greeted by a landscape brimming with innovation and potential. From hydroponics to vertical farming, we provided a firsthand glimpse into the transformative power of controlled environmental agriculture, showcasing its ability to revolutionize food production while preserving vital resources like water and land.
At Arable, our commitment to youth education runs deep. We believe in empowering young minds to become champions of sustainability, and initiatives like this farm visit serve as catalysts for inspiration and learning. By exposing students to cutting-edge agricultural practices, we aim to nurture a generation of eco-conscious leaders poised to effect positive change in our world.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Dean Close St John’s School and Beaumont Primary for embarking on this enlightening journey with us. Together, let’s continue to sow the seeds of knowledge and cultivate a brighter, greener future for generations to come.
